On 17th July 2024, I was delighted to be able to speak as a keynote technical presenter at the Alan Turing Institute Women in AI Security Workshop. As I’m from the UK, it’s always nice to support a UK based org- especially one as prestigious as the ATI, who I’ve followed since my undergraduate degree!
I presented about our work in the Farid Lab at UC Berkeley, where we employ a range of computational multi-media forensic methods to establish real vs. AI-generated content. I did my best to highlight how important this work is in maintaining the integrity of information online in an increasingly AI-driven world, whilst simultaneously establishing a critical foundation of trust in our democracy.
